THE LISTING IS FOR THE HANDLES ONLY!
Material: Canvas Micarta
Model: EK Commando Knife
These handles are not a simple bolt-on installation. Please read the following before purchasing.
The factory holes are slightly smaller than 1/4”, so they will need to be opened up slightly. I used a 1/4” carbide ball end mill, but a standard 1/4” drill bit should also work. Always secure the knife in a vise or with clamps before drilling. Safety comes first, and I don’t want anyone getting injured attempting this installation. If you’d rather not modify the knife, you may be able to sand the supplied hardware down slightly instead.
The next challenge is the brass retaining pins that secure the guard on the paracord-wrapped models. These will need to be removed by either cutting them off or punching them out. Since mine were brass, I simply shaved them off with a sharp chisel.
Because the original retaining pins are removed during installation, I designed these handles with a very tight fit to eliminate any chance of the guard rattling. I also made a YouTube installation video that walks through the process:

There are several variations of these knives, and I haven’t been able to acquire every version for testing. Because of that, the handles are intentionally left slightly proud of the tang. If you prefer a perfectly flush fit, they can easily be sanded to match your specific knife.
I also can’t guarantee the tang thickness is identical across every variation. Depending on your knife, you may need to shorten one or two of the screws. I’ve included extra screws just in case.
One final note: on this first production batch, I forgot to relocate the lanyard hole. Because of my mistake, I’m taking $5 off this batch.
As always, if you’d rather not tackle the installation yourself, you’re welcome to send me your knife. Just email me, and I’ll install the handles for you.
