These are great! they make an awesome knife into a perfect one

Expensive, until you hold your knife with these scales in your hands. Then, do you see why these are an upgrade.
For a minute, I had second guessed my choice. I found out about these through “PeterBiltKnifeGuy” on YouTube. I purchased these for the awesome blue-red/brown pattern. Also, when your hands ache from hard work, who doesn’t appreciate a wider, more comfortable grip?
However, recent comparison about how handle thickness affects chopping performance from someone I follow on YouTube (OutdoorAnalyst), mentioned how too thick of a handle was not better for chopping, because it doesn’t allow for your fingers to wrap around fully and lock-in.
I have small hands and the originals did fit me fine. So, I was worried that scales would add more girth would be worse. on top of that, I was paying for something that I was no longer sure would be an improvement for my needs in the field.
But, to my surprise, these weren’t too much at all. They have many contours that allow your hand the choice of where to grip to get comfortable. You can wrap around the main swell in the middle, or embrace it directly for a more full hold.

They fill in my hand very well and still have great retention in the sheath when I’m working. Very grippy in gloves too.
